I have a 2007 Monaco Knight and am thinking of replacing my e I ting headlamp bulbs with leds and perhaps upgrading the headlamp as well. I wish to know:

What is a quality, super bright led bulb to replace my 9007s, and…

What car/truck is my headlamp taken from?

There is a DOT code on the headlight body you can look that up for the manufacturer.

I recently upgraded my headlights to LED lamps. I used THESE LAMPS in the conversion.

I have been very pleased with the vision improvement in my night driving.

Wrong year for yours but this is an example of what you might find. I also found fog lamps as well.

Our light fixtures were showing their age and after removing the 3M film they were even worse.

The new ones look great.

They are not LED (yikes), that would have added a bunch but mine have always been just fine. Maybe the figured out the dim headlight issue by 2008.

I replaced my entire headlight housing. The cheap knock-offs Monaco used were nearly useless. The new assembly I installed are much more modern looking and very effective for night driving.

They are of high quality. My lens were in great shape so no need in changing them out. I think we have the same headlights.

Here is a shot of the new M4 headlight vs the old headlight at twilight. In the next Picture the one on the Left is the new M4 LED bulb with a heat sink attached and the one on the right is the old one. The plastic collar in the picture is reused on the new LED bulb during the install. Also you still have a dim and bright function with the new LED bulb!

My 2000 Endeavor had headlights from a 1999ish Ford Explorer. I bought aftermarket replacement headlight assemblies that were a much, much better design.

I then also replaced the bulbs with HIDs (not LEDs) by Innovited. I've used Innovited HIDs in other applications and always been happy.

LEDs are the newset technology but the aftermarket LED bulbs from what I can tell still have a ways to go. 20 years ago aftermarket HIDs were new, and most of them were really not good at all. Now aftermarket HIDs are reasonably priced, bright, reliable, and (this is the most important part) the light output is in the correct/same spot as it is for an incandescent bulb. LEDs are bright and the pricing is often reasonable, but when you're talking about headlights, it seems that most of them (if not all) don't currently have the light output in the correct location. That impacts your lighting.

So, I'd look for some appropriate aftermarket lenses (most of the ones on eBay are pretty decent, ideally find something with projector housings for the low beams) and add HID bulbs for low and high.

Many thanks guys! I went with the M4 9007 replacement led bulbs and am very pleased. I also cleaned up the original headlamp housings and they turned out great. What a difference!!!!

Make sure the headlight is adjusted correctly. The manufacturer didn't adjust them, they just installed them. It made a huge difference in my night vision while driving. The LED bulbs then doubled my light output, in the correct place.

after trying “super bright” conventional bulbs from an auto parts store, I finally did some research and found these:

My headlight assemblies use H13 bulbs. You’ll have to determine what yours are and go from there. But whatever they are, I can confidently recommend M4 products and their customer service.

The difference is remarkable and now I can actually see at night. Its important to note that these lints are not DOT approved and I had to adjust them. But I am very satisfied and now instead of a dull yellow glow a few feet in front of me, I have a wonderful splash of white light just like all the cars around me.
