Heliotrope RV-45D Controller Location

Hello. Does anyone know where I might locate the Heliotrope RV-45 D controller on a 2005 Camelot model PAQ coach. I have looked high and low and called tech support but no luck. The Aladdin DC interface module is located in the inverter/converter hot water bay and the Solar voltage and amperage wires in the controller run towards the rear of my coach. I have 17.77 volts on a sunny day at the solar panel and voltage at the connection going into the refer vent but no voltage in the right rear electical bay at the solar fuse holders for either the chassis or house terminals.

Ideas or suggests appreciated.

Thanks.

Terry

On my '08 Camelot, in the rear pass through bay, toward the rear, there is a removable panel to gain access to the water pump area. Mine was mounted on the ceiling of this area.

Thanks for the response, I'll check that area again, that's where my Aladdin DC interface is but I didn't see the solar controller. I think the bay on your coach contains the same stuff as mine, inverter/converter, water pump, water hose, Aladdin interfaces and hot water tank. The frame fails are visable in that compartment and lots of wire bundles and air lines strapped to the rails.

Again, thanks, I'll look again.

Hi,
On our 05 Windsor it is behind the electrical panel that is mounted above the washer/dryer hole on our PAQ model. We know of another coach, a PDQ, I think, where it is mounted in a storage hole inside the rear bedroom closet.
Hope this helps

Hi. Thanks for the responses. Didn't see anything behind the bedroom TV and didn't want to look behind the bedroom electrical panel but will check. Peeked behind the bedroom fuse panel but didn't look behind the circuit breaker panel but that's about the only place left unless under the trim panel in the forward basement bay where the Alladin interfaces are. The hunt continues.

I don't have the controller option on my PAQ, but there is a label in the battery-bay (right rear side, near tire) that says that's where it would be.

Rusty. The lable you're talking about is that for the controller or the fuse link for the solar wire that connects to the house and chassis battery terminals? Mine has the wiring and label for solar and it conneted to the batteries and one had a 3 amp fuse in it but the controller, if there is one, is somewhere else or else the solar panel voltage is just going into the wire at the top, connecting to wires running into the refrigerator vent and who know where from there. Need a tone generator to try to trace the wire.

The hunt contiues.

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry, but I didn't know for sure since I don't have the solar panels. I was going by the label that says "Solar Panel Regulator Inside" and thought maybe it was (would be?) what you're looking for.

Good luck, and let us know where you find it.

Rusty, was the RR panel to the rear of the battery box?

The label is on the cover of a big plastic 'box' that's mounted to the inside wall of the battery-bay (compartment), right over the batteries themselves. I'll look in there tomorrow and let you know exactly what's in there.

Thanks Rusty for checking. Is yours a 2005 Camelot 40' PAQ? My battery box is just behind the RR duel and behind the battery box is the electrical bay with the chassis and house battery disconnect switches. The wiring and lable show solar option for both house and chassis batteries and only had one had a fuse in it. May try to find a tone generator to try and trace the wiring. Good thing I don't need the solar panel to keep the batteries charged. The coach is plugged into the house so all batteries keep charged.
