Hello

Thank you for allowing us to join your group. We are sitting at REV in Coburg Oregon and waiting for parts. We have a 2008 Monaco Monarch and are hoping to start on a trip very soon. It has been cut down to now about 5 weeks but we are anxious to see the country. We would like suggestions on what everyone uses for a multipurpose holder ontop of the bump for the engine. We have a small one now and don't like it. Thank you.

Safe travels ; once you do get moving .

Most owners would be fabricating their own storage for the " dog house " and because the dog house , must remain removable for engine access ; size and weight are big considerations.

Hi Shannon! Welcome to IRV2! I'm not sure what you mean by 'the bump', are you referring to the doghouse? It’s good to have you here and I look forward to reading about your adventures. Sit back, relax and please, above all……stay safe out there!

Hi ! Welcome to IRV2! We’re sure glad you joined the gang here!

I doubt you will find anything on the retail market made for that purpose. As others have said, you will probably have to make or have one made for your MH! Have fun and keep her between the ditches!

Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Google image search
Motorhome doghouse cover center console.
Image search will get the most hits
You can see if any are aftermarket or get DIY ideas.

ShannonSS-

First off, welcome to iRV2!

Second, you should add a "signature" to your profile. It contains whatever info you want; most people put info about their coach there, so they don't have to type it into each message. Instructions for adding a signature are here.

Re: Storage on top the doghouse. I owned a "twin" to your Monarch, a 2008 Holiday Rambler Admiral. I made (too many) modifications to the coach, including removing the fairly-useless factory "holder" on top of the doghouse. In its place I used a Rubbermaid 3302-20 Front Seat Organizer. It appears Rubbermaid had discontinued that item, although there's one for sale on eBay at the moment (link here). Any decent organizer will do. I stuck carpet protectors on the bottom to keep it from moving around.

I have wiring diagrams for your coach. If you send me a private message that includes your e-mail address, I'll send the diagrams to you. Don't "publish" your e-mail address in public here, or the spammers will get it. Instructions on sending a private message are here.

I must admit that it is odd that your post got moved from New Members to the Monaco forum.

Sorry to hear about your coach. I hope that you can be traveling sooner than the estimate. Post a photo, we love looking at everyone's rigs
