Help no brake lights

Getting ready for our trip to Florida and after checking the lights I have no brake lights. I am still looking for the brake light fuse but am having no luck. Both directionals work and the four way flashers work as well as all the running lights. There has to be a fuse for the brake lights.

It could also be the brake light switch on the pedal.

Check your connection, it may be rusted or not making a good connection. My last trip I had brake lights, turn signals and 4 ways but no running lights on my toad...Turned out that the wire in the wire connector between the coach and toad was shot and once I replaced the connector everything worked.

I have a 07 Beaver Contessa that had the same problem once before. It was a blown fuse. The following applies to my coach. It may give you an idea where to look:

The computer board with relays and fuses is in the front drivers side bay. I have a relay that is identified as the brake light relay. There is a row of several fuses underneath that row of relays. My fuse is a 15 amp fuse. I had to check several before I found the correct one. Once identified, I marked it so I would not have to look for it again.

Hope this helps.

We have a 2008 AMerican COach EAgle. WE have no brake lights on our tow vehicle or trailer..but all other lights work.. WE phoned AC and they said we have to put an adapter in because of taillights being brake lights. Has anyone had the same problem with an Eagle.

Look for something like this in your rear bays.

Are the brake lights on your coach working or is it the brake lights on your toad not working or both?

It is just the toad vehicles-trailer or car. We called AMerican coach and they said there is no adapter. We cant believe we have to wire an adapter on it in 2008.

Food for thought... From what I have seen, if your coach has separate lights for signals and brakes, you have to have an adapter. We had a similar issue with a Monaco coach like mine on a recent trip, where his dingy brake lights went out. After several hours of troubleshooting it with no resolution, we decided that I would followed him closely for the remainder of the trip, so that cars wouldn't get behind him and not see his brake lights on his car, but I could see everything from my vantage point, because the coach worked fine. When he got home, he found out that his adapter was bad. Problem solved....
