I have a Frigidaire residential and I believe that the Frigidaire filter removes the pink dye. I ran a gallon thru mine and no pink color. On the second day after another trip to WalMart to get some more pink stuff, I tried again to get pink thru. Nothing. Finally I put some pink stuff in a ziplock bag, some water in another, and the clear stuff out of the icemaker. The icemaker clear liquid and the pink stuff did not freeze and the water did in my home freezer.

Huh, that's interesting. Your filter must remove the dye. You learn something everyday.

The filter needs to be removed and the plug for the filter that should have come with the refrigerator needs to go in place of the filter. If you do not have the plug, one can be ordered.
