You don't see an outlet box in there either?

Hmm.
Hopefully someone with a '05, DD powered model will chime in.

srh, page 476 of your owners manual shows the double outlet for the Detroit Series 60 block heater (item #8 in the diagram). It is a double 120v outlet near the drivers side and the plug should be tied off near by.
You may have to open the rear engine access hatch inside the rear of the coach.
Sometime just before or during the 2006 model production they moved the outlet to the rearmost part of the engine compartment.
To activate it, you will have to turn on the Block Heater switch on the left side of the drivers seat.

It is great to hear from you, Vito. As always, I appreciate your help.
On my manual for the 2005 Nav., I do not see what you are describing on page 476. I do, however, see a descriptive paragraph on page 495, but there is no diagram. One of these days, hopefully, the weather will warm up so I can take a closer look. It is 7 degrees right now.

Does your breaker panel have a block heater breaker?

Good question! My slides are in. I could only put the driver side slideout partly, which is what I did. I could open one cabinet door in the bedroom and peeked. If I do have one it is on the side I cannot open. So, I will have to wait until I can put it out of my pole barn.
Thanks for your suggestion.

Yeah, if you have a breaker for it, almost guaranteed there's an outlet box in there somewhere.
BTW, I've never used my electric block heater. Always the AH engine pre-heat.

I would probably too. It's more efficient and economical. I am just curious. I was hoping someone with the same year and model as mine might chime in.
Thanks

Well, if I'm leaving on a cold morning, I want the whole coach warm. Not just the engine.

There will vs a block heater switch somewhere inside to turn it on and off.
If you can't find that switch, then just plug the heater into a 15 amp rated extension cord to the house.

Worked great! I plugged the pigtail to an extension cord late in the afternoon prior to the morning of departure. Motor cranked right up the next morning.

srh, I'm sorry. The block heater outlet diagram is in the 2005 Signature owners manual. For some reason they left it out of the 2005 Navigator manual, but the Signature diagram should be accurate for your coach.
Your manual has a good description on how to use the Aqua Hot to preheat the engine on page 495. You can also use engine heat to run the Aqua Hot and heat the interior as you drive.

No problem, Vito. As always, I enjoy your posts as they are mostly to the point since you own one very similar to mine.
Our weather is improving and one of these days, I will be able to get it out and work on it.

I have a 2007 HR Imperial 42 PBQ. The block heater plug is meant to plug in to the 120V receptacle in the engine compartment. That receptacle requires 120V shore or generator power. On my coach, the block heater switch is on the dash and that receptacle is not "live" unless that switch is on.
