Good morning,
Not sure if this is the proper place to post this but I couldn't find any specific info about this on the holiday rambler sight.
My question is can you attend a rally for one day without camping just to check things out?
The Holiday Rambler international rally is in Duquoin, IL starting the week of July 16th. This is one week after my job's vacation period and I can't take this week also but since we are really interestd in going to see what this rally is all about thought it might be possible to drive over for one day to investigate.
If anyone has any info or where to look to find it I would appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Letsgoagain

Hi Letsgoagain

Most rallies do not have facilities or capabilities for folks attending "with their coach" for less than the full time unless you pay full fare and then leave early.

Another way to do this is to stay at a local RV park and then walk into the rally. Sometimes there is a fee involved with this and many times not.

Do try to attend some of it, I believe you will find it worthwhile.

Letsgoagain...
I think what you are asking is if you can drive over for a day (without the coach) to spend a day there and check things out...correct?

If so I would call one of these people. I found it buried on the HR website...

ILLINOIS STATE CONTACTS

State Manager - Velma Stear HRRVC #26152 Phone (309) 565 -4505
Assistant State Manager - Lee Clement HRRVC # 109403 Phone (815) 932-6469

I think one of them should be able to help you. Good luck...I hope you are able to get over there and check it out!

Good evening,
First let me say thanks to Dave O and MonacoMama for the replies.
Upon closer inspection of the article in the latest Holiday Rambler magazine about the International Rally I did find a phone number. I tell you the eyes just aren't what they used to be.
I called and spoke with the rally organizer and he informed me that we could drive over and spend the day. The fee is $20.oo and thats refundable if you leave the grounds by 4:00 p.m. Additionally I asked if it was possible to stay just a few days. Although it is slightly unusual they said I would be able to come for a few days and they would pro rate it per day.I believe this is only possible this time because perhaps the number of units attending aren't as many as in the past and they will have room.
Not sure yet if I can arrange the time off but I'm definitely going for at least one day to check things out and see what a rally is all about. Its less then a two hour drive so it can't get any more convienent then that.
Best regards,
Letsgoagain
