We bought our 2001 Scepter last July. We've put 3000 miles on it and so far it's been a great coach. Because of it's age there are lots of little things that need to be fixed and I try to do most of them myself.

I have an appointment to have the roof looked at this Monday. It's leaking bad in the back bedroom.

I forgot to mention in my first post that if you've never been to Canada and are considering coming here, I can point you in the direction of some interesting places to visit.

Also, access to all of our Canadian National Parks is free to all residents and international visitors this year as Canada celebrates is 150th anniversary. Here's a link to apply for the free pass.

We purchased an 06 42 pdq in November. It is fantastic. Replaced the TVS, added a bay slide, changed the RCA "house" stereo/DVD unit for a Denon, added some crown molding lighting and changed all the faucets. Love the ride. We have already logged a couple thousand miles. The ride is SMOOTH.

You will love it. We are full time living aboard and could not be happier.
Congratulations on your purchase

Welcome to the forum. Are you Wintering anywhere South ? There is an RV show in Tampa Florida next week and in Feb there is a Monaco Gathering there too. In any case, this is the place for incredible support. Have fun with the new toy.

Any pros or cons on the Holiday Rambler Vacationer? Pulling the trigger at the Tampa Show.

Dittos on all the welcoming sentiments! We too purchased an '09 HR Scepter in August and are having a ball. Slide out seam tape Issues as well, but our list of squacks is dwindling.
Congrats!

Depends on year. They will not likely be the same chassis as a 2000-2005 scepter. Later versions of Vacationer have similar chassis designs but with newer ISB 6.7 liter Common rail injection motors.
