Hot Water

Another question from a newbie and this one is about hot water.

On my Carver Yacht with twin engines, one of the engines has a hot line that runs through the hot water tank and heats the water while the engine is running.

Therefore upon stopping for lunch or something, there is hot water to clean what is needed....dishes, pots etc.

Is there such a thing on a 2002 Monaco Diplomat?

Your coach probably has a 10 gallon propane fired water heater with an electric element to keep water hot while not in use. Leave the electric side on and you should have sufficient hot water for cleaning. If your coach has an AquaHot, which I doubt it does, the same procedure applies, leave the electric side on.

Some gas and diesel rigs have this. Ours does.

What is the BRAND/MODEL of your water heater?
Suburban ....SW10DEM would have the 'motoraid' (M designates that feature)

Atwood .......GCH10A-3E would have the 'motoraid' (H designates that feature)


It is a 1/2" 'U' tube welded to the outside of tank wall in back and has engine coolant lines that go to/from the tube
Hot coolant flows thru while driving....heating water to roughly 130*F over the course of 2 hour drive time.



Don't know model number.....just look at backside of water heater tank and see is coolant lines are connected
