Hot water heater problem

I have a 2004 Diplomat.Over the week end the electric side of hot water heater stopped working,switched to L.P .To day i start with the fuses hope it there,but feel it is an element.Any one have any suggestions ? I had not looked at it yet.Is it hard to change the element my self?

If you have an Atwood heater the element is outside behind the gun. It is covered by a plastic cap with 3 screws. You will need a multimeter to check for voltage as well as continuity across the terminals of the heater. Disconnect the wires before this test. Also be sure you turn off the power after you check if you have voltage at the heater terminals.
Good luck, the element is not hard to replace.
