Why would you do that ?

A 6 volt battery is 3 cells in series. A 12 volt battery is 6 cells in series.
Place 2, 6 volt batteries in series and you have 6 cells in series and A total of 12 volts.

Us a 12 volt charger and the 6 cells will charge evenly.

TriMetric TM-2030-RV is very good and very configurable though not everyone is a geek (like me) and enjoys that type of thing. The Victron BMV-700 is simple and does the job.

In any case, one that uses a shunt at the battery to measure the flow into/out of the battery bank is required.

X2 on the 2030. Victron is good as well. Matter of personal preference.

If one of the six volt batteries is lower than the other it will stay lower. The 6 volt charging
is just a one time thing to have the batteries be the same.
