House water pump loses pressure

2008 Dynasty:

I have a small problem with the fresh water system. Normally when I park the unit for storage at our house I turn off the water pump. I can go out there 2 moths later turn on the pump and it does not start. That is a good thing. Means there are no leak. A few days ago I turned on the pump and it ran for awhile after being parked for 3 weeks. After a few hours it comes on for a few seconds. Checked all the faucets and under all the sinks. All is good. My Dynasty uses a Manoblock system. I checked all the valves on that system and all are open except the low point drain valves and the ice maker line. I crawled inside one of the bays and examined the water system ( hose real, pump, check valve, lines, etc) No leaks. I looked under the MH and no signs of water leakage. I checked in the bay that houses the AquaHot and no leaks. I am stumped. One thing I haven't checked yet is the cheap Polypro grey check valve that Monaco installed . When the unit was new I was having trouble with very low city water pressure. The culprit was a stone caught inside that check valve. I do have a spare but before I rip apart that part of the water system ( hard on an old man's back )I thought maybe someone has a suggestion. Thanks

Have you tried turning the city water tank fill valve off/on a few times?
That's usually the problem.

Perhaps it’s leaking back through the WP internal check valve/ diaphragm. Once you start it up it has to build pressure again.

I had a similar situation with my pump, and after verifying I had no leaks I replaced the pump. Problem solved. Believe it was the check valve which is built into the pump. If this is the original pump in the coach it's probably time to be replaced.

You can get the check valve individually, if that is the problem. The most common pump used is the SHURflow 2088. If that is the pump you have, this is the part number for the check valve (however you may be able to disassemble and clean it).
