Ah, I see.
All my a/c's and furnace systems are controlled from a central thermostat that needs 12V power.
I was thinking possibly your battery cut-off switch had been accidentally turned off.

On my transfer switch you can plainly see 3 cables, shore powers, gen, out put. Start with your volt meter on the output side, red to black wire should show 220 volt, then check red to white & black to White, should be 110 volt each
If no voltage, check your inputs, if voltage check breaker box.
One other thing to try, with all power off!! Tighten all screws in transfer switch & breaker panel, all of them

As far as I can see there is no surge suppressor.. I'm going to take a couple of pics tomorrow of all the wires and try to get at the relays to see if they are stuck or burned.

That was the first thing I checked. There is a big reg switch for both the chassis batteries and another one for the house batteries. There is also a switch right at the door that says something about battery cutoff. I'm not sure what that's for.

It disconnects *most* of the 12VDC coach loads from the house battery(ies). It uses a solenoid/relay (when you change the switch by the door you should hear a little "thunk"). If you have interior ceiling lights working, chances are your battery cutoff is not engaged. If you don't have 12VDC ceiling lights and flipping the cutoff switch makes no difference I would suspect your battery(ies) having low/no charge.
