HWH Auto Air Leveling / Unleaveling System at it again!!!

Well, the HWH Gremlins seem to have become active again.

I had a tech play with the "auto leveling" system setting again and everything was fine for several weeks. Meaning that the auxiliary air pump would cycle several times a week and all was OK. Then this morning the right side air bag(s) deflated. NOT a pop like they exploded. Just a rather loud "hissing" sound - like air leaking in volume. The coach than began to lean to the passenger's side. As though I was "dumping air" on that side only. Immediately afterward, the aux air pump began to cycle and the coach began to relevel. But didn't quite get back to level.

I stated the engine to gain air pressure and manually releveled. All has held for several hours now.

Any thoughts as to what might have caused the HWH brain to "dump air" and to only do it on the right side?

it could be a couple of things. First I would check the linkage on the ride height valves. Be sure it's all connected and tight. If you go into 'travel' mode, will the coach come up to where it should?

It sounds like the HWH system let some air out of the passenger side and the valve stuck open. I would monitor it for a while and see if it does it again.
When you place the system in Auto Level (press button twice), it checks level about every 30 min even though the ignition is off.
HWH has great support and will test or rebuild any of their components. AZ Pete is one of their reps on this forum and he is also a great asset.

I agree with Vito. Probably some trash got under the (lower) valve seat and caused it to stick open. If it's not leaking now, that trash blew out already.

the air leveling system also levels two points, or bags at the time. so if one bag is deflating, i would check the air solenoid for that bag on the manifold. while its down, it should be getting a 12 volt signal to hold the valve open, since they are normally closed.
if its not, there may be a problem with the control box. has that been repaired recently?

Hi Everyone,

I am a new RVer and my 42' Monaco was my first leap of faith into this new world (so far so good, BTW). The previous owner didn't have the manual for the auto leveling system. I have googled around, but I'm not sure the manuals are for my system. The ones I have found all talk about leveling jacks, which mine does not have.

If someone has a link to a pdf, I would greatly appreciate it.
