HWH Computerized air leveling system sticky valve??

2002 HOLIDAY RAMBLER IMPERIAL WITH HWH COMPUTERIZED AIR LEVELING SYSTEM. The rear of the coach will raise sometimes and sometimes not. Sometimes the driver side will raise but only about 2 inches. The front works fine and will raise about 6 inches from all the way down. When the passenger side rear works then the driver side rear works. This does not seem to be a leak as like I said sometimes it works fine sometimes not. Any help would be appreciated. I am sure I will end up taking it to a dealer but there are no dealers I trust to tell me the truth and I cannot afford a whole new system.

I had some similar issues as yours. You may want to remove the control pad and check your connections on the back of the pad. That was what was wrong when I had issues. Hope this helps.

Chech the HWH web site, they have a FAQ page as well as list of authorized HWH service centers. I'm going to the one in FL next week for a problem.

HWH's facility is located in eastern Iowa on I-80 in Moscow, IA. If you can take your coach there, you won't be disappointed. They know their products and are VERY reasonable. They have hookups available and take waiting customers to lunch ( their dime) everyday. Truly wonderful people. Good luck.

The free lunch has been discontinued for almost 3 years now. The local cafe they went to has closed down. They still have the hookups and the service is great.

I suspect that the HWH system in my 2003 Camelot is the same as yours - an HWH Series 600 that I have been having problems with. After a lot of indecision by a well-known chassis company, I called Monaco customer service and talked with a helpful guy named Robert. He confirmed which system my coach had and emailed me the HWH repair manual - I had already downloaded the other manuals from the HWH site. After reading and experimenting, I decided it was my control panel. My system was intermittent but when it worked, it worked great - but that was becoming less frequent. When it failed, the passenger side rear would not adjust or the whole system would just lockup and die. The control panel has a circuit board on the bottom side. In addition, there are control boards in the driver's side second basement compartment in my Camelot. I was told that the control panels are no longer available but, again, that was wrong. Monaco had the control panel in stock and shipped it to me for about $350 plus shipping and tax. Installation took about 5 minutes and the system works great now. If you take the control panel off, you'll probably see a number starting with AP written on it - mine is AP8444. Problem is that if you order it, you probably own it whether that's the problem or not.

I'm not having as much luck with a leak in my air suspension and head to Alliance in Wildwood, Fl, next week to see if we can fix that. It's amazing how bad most of these shops are. I'm not a mechanic, but I can understand the systems and troubleshoot, which most seem not to be able to do.
