Smile HWH levelling system

One of the buttons on the HWH touch pad is no longer responding. Have phoned HWH every day this past week asking for a return authorization for repair all to no avail. Decided to take matters into my own hands and found the one button for full dump to be non operative. Can anyone give me the exact dip switch that I need to order. Looking on eBay, I've found a 6X6X17 mm momentary tactile tact push button dip switch. Anyone have any direction or comments. I'm just not sure of the 17mm size as it looks like it might be a mm or two, too high. Sure would appreciate any direction.
Thanks

HWH 325 Jack System Will Not Retract - Button Failure! (Possible Solution)

We probably have a different HWH control panels, but I think all their buttons work on the same principle. I.e., they all are switched to ground.

I was stuck with my jacks down in a State Park when I discovered this trick:

* Obtain access to the back of your HWH control panel if you can.

* Take a voltage probe and tap the back of that electronic component (behind the bad HWH button) with your probe. See picture. You can tape either side to get it to work.

==> If this works you can probably take your board to a local electronic repair shop and have that part replaced. Or you can send your control board to HWH for repair. It will take about 10-15 days for TAT. Be sure to get an RMA number from HWH first. They are very good about repairing your or replacing your control board. I think mine was a $325 bill, but I can't remember.

Note: I did not think of getting this board repaired locally, because I thought the "button contacts" were my problem. Still, I should have confirmed this at an electronics shop for $40... or maybe some of you know it that's a diode or capacitor my voltage probe is touching in the picture? ... Whatever it is, my jack operated when I touched either side of that "electronic part" so that implied a bad button. (See picture #2)

Note: You might also try starting your engine (with jacks down); and with your foot on the brake... put the transmission in drive. This may trigger an "emergency override" and that may or may not raise all your HWH jacks? (TBD)

I posted a control panel repair a couple of months ago, including the source for the switches (from someone else's post that's older), hints and tips, and pictures. You can find it here: https://www.irv2.com/forums/f106/hwh...ir-483618.html

As previously stated, contact Paul at AZPETE on the Irv2 forum. He works for HWH and can answer your questions. His email is pfmaddox@att.net and his phone number is 602-549-3638. He is a Commercial Member and has posted that his phone is always on, and if not answered, leave a message.

He has helped others on this forum and I am sure he can help you.

send an email to service@hwh.com
include name, address, brand and model of coach, and vin number. tell them what you need done. they will contact you in a few days with either an email or call. its a lot faster that way. it looks like you have an active air panel, is that true? let them know what you have.

HWH levelling system

Sincere thanks to all who contributed with responses. It's obvious that I didn't provide enough information re my challenge...my system is a total air system and there are no jacks to contend with. On the other hand, it appears that the circuit boards are similar.
I have ordered dip switches but, I fear they are the wrong size. I ordered
6X6X17mm. I will be reaching out to Paul Maddox of HWH.
Again, thanks to all. I'll keep you posted.

HWH levelling system

I can't say enough positive things about Paul Maddox of HWH. Not only did he email me with his suggestions but...he even followed up with a phone call to me directly! Talk about a great company representative!!
Now if we could just get some help back at HWH HQ, I'd be a happy camper! Seems they're having challenges getting qualified employees back to work. Again, we're seeing a shortage of good, qualified people in this country.
Thanks Paul
