HWH System
I'm helping a friend with his 2003 Monaco Dynasty. It appears he has a faulty ride height valve for the front axle. Does anybody have a part number for this

Ride height has nothing to do with the HWH hydraulic system. The part # should be on the old ride height valve. Just take it to a HDT repair shop or parts store for a matching new one. They are a common off-the-shelf item, no MH chassis mfgr has one special-made for them.

I assume you are talking about an HWH air ride system.
The air solenoids are rebuilable (as long as the electrical coil is good). There are o-rings inside that wear out with age. You can disassemble the solenoid and change the o-rings and it should work again. The internal oring is a -019 size, the large one on the bottom is a -028 and the small one on the bottom is a -015.
If not, you can call HWH. We have an HWH representative on IRV2, AZ Pete (Paul). His email is pfmaddox@att.net and his phone number is 602-549-3638. He's a great resource.
Let us know how it goes?

You may want to tell us why you think it is a bad ride height valve.

hwh system
I talked with Paul Maddox on the phone. after describing the problem, he suggested a possible bad front ride height control valve. The coach can be leveled manually at the touch panel. but when you physically move the front valve, it will not change the height. unlike the rear valves, which when moved, will raise or lower the respective position. I looked at my '01 Country Coach, and the valves are completely different. I guess the next step is to remove it and look for a new one at one of the local truck parts places.

Still not really clear what you are seeing. Is the coach able to manually level on the HWH system but doesn't move to the correct ride height? They are somewhat unrelated systems. A full description of the symptoms would get you better replies.

As Paul said, they are different systems - but they interact with each other.
The Ride Height Control Valve determines the height of coach when in Travel Mode. So in Travel mode the HWH "travel solenoid" opens to let air go from Ride Height valve through the Travel solenoid and directly to air bags. If the Travel solnoid is bad and wont open the RHCV can not fill the air bags.
When using the HWH Leveling function, the Travel Solenoid is closed and the air going in/out of the airbags is controlled by the HWH Raise and Lower solenoids for each air bag group/wheel.
So if the HWH Raise/Lower solenoids are okay, you can use the HWH control panel to raise and lower each end of the coach, but if the Travel solenoid is bad then when you switch over to Travel Mode, the air can't flow though the travel solenoid and coach will not adjust to the proper Ride height.

You are saying you can raise or lower each end of your coach independent of the other??? Never heard of that.

Yes, while parked.
Depending on what Leveling system you have. I have the HWH 2000.
If you look at the control panel you see there are manual raise and lower buttons. One can manually raise or lower any side, or either end, of the coach as desired.
Once you release the parking brake the system will automatically go into "Travel" mode which then uses the ride height valves to set the height.

OH! I was still on your comment about using the air dump to lower the coach.
