Hydraulic Cooling Fan Motor (Sunstrand)

Hi all,
I've tried searching the forums for this info, but I haven't found it. I've found lots talking about the hydraulic fan controller, but in my case I'm looking for the motor. My motor is leaking, likely at the output shaft (fan side). The numbers on my fan are:

SNM2/17 CI 06 AHH1/5H. This is a Sunstrand motor, and the distributor crossed it over to 121.20.045.00. Others have said they used this number also. But is not the same as my motor. I have 3 hose connections on the back (rear) of the motor, along with 2 on the sides. The 121.20.045.00 motor I got has only one connection on the rear. Two of the rear hoses go to the thermostatic valve mounted on the radiator. I'm guessing that the others had some other way of controlling fan speed.

Does anyone here have any suggestions on where to get a replacement motor?

I'm attaching a photo of the rear of my motor to help identify. http://gdurl.com/mHoq

Thanks,

-Rick

"""The parts list page 77 needs an update of the Sauer Danfoss hydraulic fan motor SEAL KIT SNM2/01-02-0. I was able to locate the correct seal kit at Hydraquip 16630 Central Green Blvd, Houston TX 77032.The part number is 221.20.004.0K. It costs $35.00 they have 21 in stock. The kit includes about a dozen internal seals and o-rings etc. but most importantly the output seal, which is normally what fails and leaks hydraulic fluid. Any hydraulic shop can change out this seal but I felt it prudent to have a spare SEAL KIT with me in my travels.""""

Copied from my files.
The fan motor in my 96 Windsor has five hoses.

Seal Kit

Skip, have you replaced the output shaft seal on your motor? How hard was it to remove the motor from your coach. Did you need to disassemble the whole motor to replace the output shaft seal? If so, did you also replace all the other seals too? If not, why not?

I'm trying to decide if this is something I can do myself, or if I need to take it somewhere to have the work performed.

I finally got a good replacement part number. This is now manufactured by Dynamatics. They are overseas, but have an office in Iowa. They said the new part number is 551100895210, which they crossed over from the name plate (00895/210), not the number stamped into the motor body. I believe it uses the SNM2 basic motor, but the whole assembly, with the "Integral Hydraulic Switch Valve Cover" is what makes this motor assembly different. They also state that the Seal Kit is 551LG00883002, which I've only found available in Europe (the same is true for the motor).

How did you find your seal kit? What motor is it designed to fit?

Thanks so much for the info: The seal kit from Europe is over $100, plus shipping. The complete motor assembly is right at $400 plus shipping.
