That Rv guy was wrong. The slide runs off the same motor as the jacks.....

Took rig to the shop today....
whole pump assembly needs replacing and some other little box that senses when coach is level..... approx $ 3000 but thanks to the extended warranty I only pay the $ 5o deductible...... what a relief..

Stablizers would not extend

Our coach had been DRY parked for a few months, and the jacks retracted just fine, in order to move up near the house, to pack up! However, once parked they would not extend. I had a green light, on the console, and could hear the solonoid clicking, but no movement!

Went our and checked the fluid all OK!

Then happened to turn on a light inside...nothing!

The instrument showed low/almost dead batteries!

Filled and charged them...now ALL is working again!

Thanks for all the help....... my appointment for repair isn't until May..... I will update if anyone is interested....
I have a 2000 Winnebabo Journey and have had numerous problems with my jacks and slide. I finally found the problem last week when I was stranded and could not get jacks to retrack and slide would not retract and door step would not operate.
THE PROBLEM:-------LOOSE BATTERY CABLE ON THE ENGINE BATTERY BANK
The positive (RED) battery cable was loose and had been for some time I guess, because when I took the cable off the battery post, both the cable connector and battery post showed signs of arcing. I cleaned both battery post and cable connector very good and even took a small file and filed down all rough spots on both. PROBLEM SOLVED ! ! !
***CHECK ALL BATTERY CONNECTIONS ON ALL BATTERIES, BOTH COACH AND ENGINE***
