I don't want to seem ungrateful to Monaco, but I would have paid $500 more if they would have:

1. Put in something besides the Magnadyne radio/DVD player
2. Sealed the roof with something that actually stuck to the roof
3. Run the heat duct to the bathroom

Feel free to add to this thread. It will make you feel better and maybe Monaco will take it to heart..........

Luke,

My Magnadyne works fine, I have the damper nearly closed in bathroom so it does not get too hot, and my roof is still sealed.

Oh,

A couple of things I forgot... Would like an engine that didn't explode at 18,000miles, tires that don't blow the side wall out at 19,000, brake rotors that don't crack at same mileage, a/c condenser failures at 21,000. More, but I'm tired of typing.

I dont think $500 will do the job. If you want to add about $150K or maybe more a Dynsaty or a Sig has a seperate blower for the bathroom (Aqua Hot) and the roof has no exposed seams. BUT you still get that high quality (NOT!)Magnadyne. Anyone who thinks it works well is tone deaf!!

what has happened through the years? our 02 beaver santiam (dip/endev)we have a metel roof with one seam down center never a leak since new. still is flat, no dips and valleys. our radio is a kenwood sounds great after 7 yrs. we do have a heat duct in our bathroom, works great. maybe some of the so called improvements could be reversed and end up with something with some longevity, and actually save on some production cost. just a thought. jim

Well said, Jim.....

For my $500, Monaco could have included a tire pressure monitor system and side shades (they were on my '05 but not this baby).

If there is no duct at all, that's definitely a problem. However, if the problem is that there is no heat coming from the 3 floor vents, like mine, check the furnace installation to see if it's directly over the floor cutout so there is an airtight seal for air to reach the vents. Mine wasn't even close.

I don't have a Magnadyne in my coach...I've got a Kenwood...As far as the bathroom duct, I've got a duct, but the duct work itself wasn't cut out. Took the face plate off and cut a hole in the duct work and bingo..everything is good!!!

I agree that Monaco (and all coach builders) should have factory installed tire pressure monitors.

An owners manual that was specific to the model of coach, left out the things that were discontinued in the model year I bought, and had information about the new things added for the model year I bought.

A wiring diagram for the coach.

An echo charger for the chassis batteries.

A navigator that always gets every turn right. Oh, wait a minute, guess I'd better not go there. That was my problem for marrying the one I did.

MonacoMama,
A bogus heat duct installation and bad brake rotors are not third party components. That's Monaco stuff ! They install the heating system and the duct work for it and the brakes are attached to their Roadmaster chassis which they build....
