Les,

We were told that tow truck sells for $750,000.00. That would get you a nice used Newell for the dog show circuit!

What do you think the odds are of getting a tow truck like that, lol. I think the odds are slim on getting a tow truck with axle block off plates. 99% of the time they are going to pull the driveshaft

Mike, when I needed a tow for our Dynasty we had a few years back I made sure CoachNet knew I needed a Class 8 tow truck. When the tow truck arrived the first thing he did was pop out an axle, blank it off, and tie up the mudflap. That took less than 5 minutes. He told me that he never wanted to crawl under a rig again and that most of the Class 8 tow truck drivers now carried the blanking flanges since it made their job so much easier and safer.

I think the key is getting the right size tow truck for a big Class A and having a well established towing company respond to the CoachNet call. I doubt CoachNet contracts with the smaller, fly-by-night companies.

Yes, I doubt we would ever get that fancy tow truck in the pictures, but any Class 8 tow truck is no light weight either...

Bob, we are doing about half the show dog thing this year. We are kind of in-between specials and planning on some actual recreational RV'ing. My better half is still working and with a two week trip to Australia, a two week car show convention, and limited dog shows - that about burns up most of the annual vacation.

I always thought work got in the way of the most productive time of the day, but then again, I retired several years before I told my boss...
