I just switched from AARP/Hartford. They wanted $1885 for my coach alone. I thought they were on the old folks' side?
New better coverage from Colorado Casualty via an independent agent is $454/year, $500 deductible. I checked on line, and my agent even had better rate for Progressive than the on-line rate, but recommended Colo. Casualty which checks out as highly rated, too. Division of Liberty Mutual. With my other two autos, saving about $1700/year now.

Wow. State Farm just cost us about $830 annually, and that was AFTER my husband hit a trailer in the storage lot (in his defense, it was slick mud and the lot is undergoing reconstruction which meant that he had to SQUEEEEZE the 99 Dip through a relatively small passageway).

I like the idea of suspended coverage when it's not being used. We take off pretty regularly spring and fall (and some in the summer) for weekend dogshow trips, so that would not be useful to us. But it sounds good anyway.

$780 on our Monarch, with $1000 deductible and my progressive agent said we can suspend liability when it's going to be off the road for 30 days or more.

Go figure. We have AARP/Hartford and our premium is $827 with $500k liability, $475 deductable and $10k contents. I think insurance rates change as often as airline fares. They seem to change pretty often and I think it also depends on who did the quoting. Pretty nuts and what a racket. I try to get 3 or 4 quotes and AARP and Progressive generally the lowest. The GMAC and Foremost quote I got last year was $1800 and $2100 respectively.

The quote for our King Aire is $2290/yr. That's for full-timers coverage with fairly high limits.
