Introductions from Stone Hands

Hello Friends.

Stone Hands here. We are in the process of picking up our new to us 2013 Monaco Diplomat 43DFT coach. 30k miles and very well maintained and clean. We currently have a 2007 Fleetwood Revolution LE 40E and love it. We were looking for a few more options, a little more room and really love the floorplan of the Diplomat DFT.

We are having it delivered from Albany NY to Michigan where we are at. I did fly out and did a complete visual inside and out and spent an entire day on it, on top of it and under it.

Will post pics when we get her home. Stay safe everyone.

Welcome and congratulations!
We have a 2012 Knight we purhased new with similar powertrain. I would think you have the Maxxforce 10 engine and believe you will be happy with it. Ours has similar mileage. There are those who have nothing good to say about the Maxxforce but we have been very pleased with ours. Maintenance is pretty simple and have done routine service on ours for many years. It has two fuel filters and two oil filters that are easy to access and should be changed at least annually. I recommend that you idle the engine as little as possible however and that you don't hesitate to run it "hard". This engine does not like to be "babied". We pull a jeep wrangler and have found power to be more than adequate even in the mountain areas. Recommend that you confirm the software update to the engine was done. Most likely it has because it has been out for several years. There is a Maxxforce section on this site with very useful information as well.

Thank you everyone. I have been doing my homework and also read and heard that this MaxxForce 10 engine likes to be worked and not idled. Good to know.

Waiting impatiently for the coach to be delivered this week. After we negotiated the cost, the dealer replaced all tires with new, found front TV not working right so they replaced it as well. Side view cameras were on my list to get working and instead, they added a new Furrion camera system for side and rear view.
