Inverter on or off with shore power??

Our 2013 HR Vacationer has a Progressive Inverter, should I turn it off when on shore power?

Details should be in your inverters owners manual , some won't charge the batteries if turned off, others the off function is over ridden once shore power is available.

If your manual is not clear on the operation of your particular Inverter, I would try to set the operation with the Invert Option Off when it is not needed. The battery charge function should not be affected when Invert Off function is selected. The reason I say this is that when the(My) Invert function is left ON(and I am plugged into Shore Power).... there appears to be additional heat buildup in the compartment VS when the Invert function is not selected, I,e....the cooling fan comes on more often. In addition, a fellow camper has replaced his Inverter 3 times(04 Endeavor). He leaves his on 24/7. I know heat is a big problem with electronics, so I decided to switch off anything that is not needed. FWIW.
