Inverter won't start!!!

I was running a battery equalization cycle using my solar system and Trimetric Controller and noticed the inverter was not on. I tried to start it using the start buttons at both the ME Remote panel in the coach and using the button directly on the inverter.

Do I have a big problem or might it have something to do do with the equalization?

I Don't believe that you can Equalize Batteries from the Inverter Nor Solar Panel !

Thanks for your thought, however, the Trimetric solar controller does have an equalization cycle. Battery voltage rose to 15.4 v during the cycle.

Maybe the inverter shut down due to high voltage. On our coach the battery charger in the inverter will go into standby when the solar system is the dominant charging source. I never equalize and if I did I would disconnect as many systems in the coach as possible. It is not practical to disconnect the inverter and on our coach the inverter/charger is the equalization device.

Stan try shutting down all AC and disconnect your negative cable from the house batteries so the inverter totally powers down then on next it all back up. If you have a solar panel then you need to do this at night or pull the fuse on the solar controller. Most of the time this will fix them.

Mike, I thought turning off the house batteries with the house bat switch in the battery bay would achieve this. Tomorrow I will try this using your method and will let you know if it worked

Many thanks!

I tried Mikes method of resetting the inverter by disconnecting the negative battery cable. No luck. I called Magnum tech support and after determining there was more than enough voltage at the inverter, the tech concluded the unit needed servicing. Since the unit is 8 yrs old, I'm going to replace it with the 2800 Pure Sine unit.

Thank you all for your time and assistance.
