Is this the hydraulic reservoir?

Getting ready to head home. Checked the dipstick on this tank and it shows to “add.”
Under the category of there is no stupid question...
Is this the tank for hydraulic fluid? If so, what fluid do I buy to add?

Yes, dipstick is the round knob on top, and removing the band will give you access to the three filters.
Should be a label on the canister or in your manual as to what the fluid is.
I've seen AW 32, AW 42, Dexron III, and 10w30 in them.

Yes, that is the hydraulic tank. Now the tricky part, what chassis builders use seems to vary some. Not sure if there is a sticker on the tank or you have a chassis maintenance schedule that might list the type installed.

Edit: Our Spartan Chassis uses AW46.

Yes, that is the hydraulic fluid reservoir. What model is your coach (I'm guessing a Windsor?)
Page 419 of the owners manual says to use Dexron III ATF or if temps near 0, then use Pennzoil Artic Blue hydraulic fluid.
Download your owners manual here:
https://www.monacocoach.com/rv-owners-manuals

It also says to change the hydraulic filter within the reservoir every 15,500 miles or once per year. Total system capacity is 44 quarts.

Thanks guys!
Foolish me...I went to page 422 and heading HYDRAULIC RESERVOIR, thinking that would tell me what fluid to add.
Thanks again.
