Jack light backwards

Something strange is going on with my Jack's.
When they are up the power gear warning light is on saying they are down. When I put the Jack's down the gear down warning light goes off.

Yes it's full.
I have to raise the jack's then lower them a couple inches to get the jack's down warning to go out.

I had to think about this for a while. I Have seen this at work with Gems brand/style floats "I hate them mostly, some only have E-rings with no grooves in shaft , while others grooves, the best designed have collars and sets screw ". There is a magnet in the ball it bends contact wires in stem/rod to open or close. If the circlips/ top and bottom clips / snap rings get moved ,it can work opposite way around, or not right or not at all. If you take it apart mark top of float, because you can flip some balls to flip the operation , some but not all will work this way NO/NC is usually etched in ball if so. Look for indication of where clips were for a long time. The magnet may have became unfastened in ball float as well "possibly" if so its probably junk. I cant say it is designed same way for sure but its a good bet.
