Sorry guys, i have been very needy lately but this is one problem that I have had for a few months. After inspection each time, the jacks are fully retracted and the warning light will not go off. I have had to pull the fuse to silence the warning beeping while driving and then put it back in to use the Jacks when we get to our destination.

Any thoughts?

Normally this is caused by low ATF in the Jack Tank. There is a float switch in there that indicates Jacks Down. If the fluid is low the switch doesn't float.

Dick's right about the low ATF. Be sure you have the jacks UP before adding fluid.

Actually, the instructions for our RVA system say to put one jack down about 6" when filling to insure that when it is retracted the fluid will rise above the sensor level. Check the instructions for your jack system before adding fluid.

You may have a minor leak in the system. ATF 'Stop Leak' juice helps. Add it before you put in more ATF so you'll have room for it.

In my case, the leak returns about every two years and I often don't have the time or interest to stop the rig and go to the trouble topping it off with fluid to stop that annoying beeping. So I just added an Off/On switch to the 12V supply of the controller.

Had the same problem that persisted till I had the left rear jack rebuilt. Now everything works normally with the jack alarm only going off when bouncing around on rough roads.

I will top it off with ATF and keeps fingers crossed :-). Took me a while to find the jack fluid reservoir...

You know, I still can't understand why it is not recommended to utilize these Jacks to change a tire??? The darn things are built to lift the entire coach.

Fluid level is definitely the first thing to check. However, you should also check the sensor itself to make sure it is the right type. My Journey was delivered with the wrong type of sensor (white instead of black or something) and until we changed it out no amount of fluid would keep the alarm from going off around turns, during braking, etc.

Check with the Jack Manufacturer to make sure.

It is on the Drivers side, rear. It is behind a panel that covers what I assume is part of my AC configuration - ( it looks like a side radiator.).

The fluid being low was my problem. Once I topped off the reservoir, the light went out.
