Have been using the 120v unit for a week and it works great so far. In 4 hours it went from 64 degrees to 29. The current setting is 4 and holding at 34 degrees and -4 in the freezer. Wife is happy because she has hard Ice cream. We have solar panels so I will drive with the inverter on. The tech that installed it will only use Amish units and told me that he likes working with JC Refrigeration because they have great support.

We do not have an inverter but also do not boondock much, maybe an overnight here and there. Was thinking running the generator a couple hours a day would keep everything cool. Would appreciate hearing from others with their experience.
I have a 8.0 2016 that barely works also. Did you ever install a JR'S?

JC is a nice guy!! Highly recommend.
I have the same unit, Last week in Las Vegas, 106 degrees outside, 33 in the frig and 0 in the freezer, just remember to level to the freezer and the unit will last.

Yes. Made the switch several weeks ago. No issues as yet. Happy with the 120 volt unit.

Would you mind telling me whom you used to do the install? I'd like to have it done and would prefer someone that knows what they're doing.

A rough idea as to the cost also if you wouldn't mind.

Thanks.

I had mine installed at JC Refrigeration. Not sure where you are located so might not be an option but they did an awesome job.

My motorhome is stored in Arizona and I live in Colorado.

Hardy posted he had a tech in Arizona do his which is why I asked.

Not worth the drive to go to JC Refrigeration from Arizona if I can find someone closer.

You can contact JC for a list of installers they use in AZ. I have the 12v compressor unit and I love it. I won't recommend the one that did mine because it took him three times to get it right. But I love it now.

there is a post on here somewhere about the whole fiasco I when through...
