First off, diesel was priced at $257.9 at the FJ, MP158 on I-65 yesterday (just south of Montgomery)! I packed in 90 gal so the generator was just about to start sucking fumes.

My opinion of the Big Lagoon State Park (Perdido Key/Pensacola area). It must have been beautiful before Katrina took 95% of the trees. Still a rustic, rough type beauty, but not much shade. Saw two rattle snakes (one was quite squashed), so be careful walking your pets there. The spots are very cramped but a few offer good privacy if you can get your rig into them.

Saw nesting ospreys and feasting mosquitoes. Only place I have ever been that the skeeters treat Skin-so-Soft like it was a treat, kinda like butter on their toast!

Dang... I wonder how much we would have to spend on fuel to get to MP158 to fill up?

Glad you kept the animals safe from the rattlers...I hope everyone will keep a watchful eye while out with their 4 legged kids.

BTW... hope all is going well -SacsTC & I miss reading your posts!
