Just picked up the TOAD
After years of planning, saving, etc. we finally found our DP and our TOAD.
It's feeling a little bit like Christmas to be honest. We joined TT's last week and are spending two weeks (or more) in Mesa and eventually heading to Florida.
Home base is in OKC.
Happy Camping

Shweet!
Don't forget to retract that abominable OTA antenna before you take off. A walk-around is always a good idea before you go wheels up.
You're in for a beautiful ride to FL. Don't forget Texas hill country. Drop down to the coast once you get to FL if you have time. Appalachicola, Cedar Key, Crystal River -- all off the beaten path, all gorgeous. This time of year, Crystal River in particular is so cool, rent a canoe and visit the manatees (millions of em). Don't drive through Tampa if you can help it.

Thanks for the tips. My brother lives in Wimberly so we are somewhat familiar with the hill country of Texas.
We also have family in Florida (Lakeland and Ft Myers). We are just winging it for now. I know that's not smart but we'll see how it goes.

Nice looking coach!
Had our Phaeton since July 2020, have not booked or stayed in a campground yet. We've been to many Walmarts, Cracker Barrel & a few shopping malls.

Winging it, that's what we do mostly. We don't care for schedules, we like
to just drift along, stop when we want, and stay when we want.
We have stayed at a few Walmarts etc too. One summer night we
stayed at the Walmart in Bozeman Montana It was very cold and
raining, the lot was full of RVs including 3 or 4 Prevost with trailers.
Walmart did a brisk business that night selling to RVers.

Congrats on the new DP & toad! Be safe, have fun, and keep her between the ditches!
Good luck, happy trails, and God bless!

Winging it is the best way to see the real interesting things. Nice rig!
