Today was winter prep day... Winterized my camper then decided to rearrange the shop for winter. Runway grass was firm so I started up the beast and took it down the runway and was finally able to dump my holding tanks. Not much in them thankfully. The beast ran fine. Also got the firewall and bracing painted. Next I will work on replacing missing firewall components and address any wiring issues.

Anyone know if there is anything special about the plastic airline and pushlock fittings used in these rigs? I have several damaged air lines up front and was going to just grab some industrial plastic air line and fittings from work to use where needed on my coach.

If it’s for the brake system, it should be DOT rated PEX, if the original has DOT approval numbers on it, it should be replaced with the same.

Yes the brass fittings and tubing should be DOT rated .
The fittings will be DOT stamped , I don't know if the air lines
will be marked or not .
I believe this my apply to suspension lines as well .

Looks like things are really coming together. I did body and frame work as young man . My hats off to you for your ingenuity and skills. To fix up campers and MH it always takes some MacGyver work. With the cap off it would be a good time to do the headlight relay mod. Its supposed to give much brighter headlights and preserve the HL switch indefinitely . There have been reports of no bright indicator on a few modded systems , but there is module or a resistor work around.

I would even think further about this and after making sure you are getting all 12VDC to the lights I would find some great LED lights from a new modern vehicle (not aftermarket chinesium junk) and mod them into the front of the bus including the fog or driving lights. You are needing glass and paint work when putting the front cap back on anyway, so if you are good with the fiberglass now is the time. Maybe find a new high end coach with real headlights and use them. I would love to have the same bright LED lights I have in my F250 in my bus.
My winter project is to get the old Buick headlight assemblies out of the bus and fit in something that is modern and actually puts out decent light. There are countless posts about headlights and fog lights and trying to make stuff work that is either no longer available or just downright inadequate to start with.
