Just purchased wrecked 2004 Camelot PDQ... big project

Agreed. Glue and maybe shoot carpet staples or short brads from the back if the flooring is thick enough to allow. With your skills I’m sure you will find the right solution.

What you’ve completed looks great!

Liquid nails, hot glue to hold in place while the nails dries.

Got the old carpet ripped off the driver's side flush slide and cut a new piece to replace it. I cut the old carpet flush with the table cabinet and will make a trim strip to cover that seam. While I don't like putting carpet back in,I think this should look pretty good.

Were you able to get someone to sew a trim piece along the front edge of the carpet.

Some carpet shops have a "serging machine" that binds the edge of carpet. You might check a around and see of any in your area have one.

It's called carpet binding. They make a tape but I have no idea how well it works.

I'm sure the best way is to have it done by a carpet company.

I googled Carpet binding service and several popped up in the Dallas area, here is one.

If you have been in tune with Mikes thread then you are aware of his high level skillsets and quality of workmanship. You can bet that he has a solid plan for binding the carpet edge

Mike? Not sure if you meant me (I am Tim). To avoid dealing with the binding, I bought an area rug from Home Depot and cut it to fit which gave me a bound edge on one corner and I made a seam along the front edge to utilize my other bound corner cut from the opposite side of the rug. Most of the seam will be under my yet to found new sleeper sofa. I intend to apply a fabric backing out at the very edge using hot glue, epoxy or contact cement to keep the binding seam as hidden as possible.

Peel and stick backing on some and a hot glue gun. Ours has been done for about two years now and looks great.

Yes I was meaning you Tim. Sorry I botched the name. The progress continues to look great.

Screwed some aluminum to the bottom of the bed frame for the rollers to roll on vs the wood which had some wear.

Got the bed side frame carpeted and tipped the bed back down into position this morning. Still lots of trim work to be done. Working in these bedrooms is not fun.

Nope, tight quarters are not fun. I replaced my kitchen faucet last week and wasn't fun either. Your work looks great as always. Looks like you're getting close to taking it out for a trip.

Tim
