Your refrigerator is probably plugged into an inverter fed elec outlet so that it continues to be powered as you drive. The engine alternator may also keep recharging the bats.

OR you could run the generator while you drive.

OR many report that if you only drive 5-6 hours that the refrigerator will stay cold on its own.

If it's a new coach, I'm sure it's all set up properly.

If the fridge still has power when you unhook from shore power, then the fridge is being powered from the batteries through the inverter.

The engine alternator charges the batteries when you're driving down the road.

Does your new coach also have any solar panels for charging the batteries when you're boondocking?

Jim

ur fridge

I am sure when you unplug from shorepower the inverter takes over and when you fire up the generator the generaator feeds the power but to make sure just unplug the shorepower and then open the door and see if the light comes on

I run the fridge on inverter power when traveling. You just have to be sure you don't leave it parked for several hours as the fridge will run down the house batteries. Don't ask me how I know!

MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR!
