Knight? Diplomat?

Google didn't dredge up anything specific about the line-up. From the ordering on the web site I'm guessing a Diplomat is a step up from the Knight. But what might be the specific differences - 2001 year model?

Hi,

Here are some links that will let you compare the models for 2001:

2001 Knight

2001 Diplomat

Hope this helps.

There is a good bit of difference in the 01 Knight and the dip but the newer Knight and Dips are pretty close. Here is a little info on the 01.
The 01 Knight with the 260 engine comes with a T-1000 4 speed Allison, you could
order the optional engine package with the Allison 3000 trans with the 300 ISB
and 315 ISC the chassis is a 4 air bag and came with a propane Gen, Diesel was a
option, the coach came with air over hyd brake system and I believe that system
had some problems and if I am not mistaken it also came with the aluminum
radiator that was bad about parting and getting coolant in the Allison trans and
that could have been changed out. Also there was a recall on a bad suspension
problem just not sure the 01 was involved.

Here is the pecking order...:

MONACO COACH
• Signature Series
• Executive
• Dynasty
• Camelot
• Diplomat
• Knight
• Cayman
• LaPalma

Generally speaking, each "step" means items that are upgrades on the lower models are standard on the upper models, until you get to the Sig, Exec and Dynasty which have their own upgrades....hope this helps....Dennis
