LCD Controller

On our last trip my main button on my 2010 holiday rambler scepter stopped working. This is the only screen where I can see my voltage reading. All the other buttons are working fine. When I shut down the engine the main screen comes back up on the lcd. Has any one had this issue or know where to get a new one. Thank you for any help

All vintage monaco owners please help lcd controller issue

So on our way back the main button still not working, so I left it on the main screen so that I could monitor the voltage. I call nort west rv parts and they suggest that I call a rv salvage yard to see if I could get a replacement. I did find a part number 080515f but no brand name. Probably a roadmaster part number. Looks like this controller was used in 2012 so that gives me some hope of finding one. My next question is maybe I could have an electronic shop look at it and see if it can be repaired. Any thoughts on this is greatly appreciated.

It's a little confusing what your saying .it doesn't come on or shut off when you want .
Buttons like that are sometimes like what's in a TV remote or key fob. There is copper on PCB bard and carbon on the button/switch that connects the copper momentarily. They can get dirty or get stuck on. Tearing it apart without access to new one is risk you need to consider.

Sorry for the confusion the main button is the only one that isn't changing the screen. So I can change the screen to any of the other settings but I can't change it back to the main screen. I was thinking that you are probably right about trying to clean it. I am a little worried about taking it apart, since it is on the same panel as my transmission sifter. Have you ever had to remove those panels if so how do they come apart it is already lose but something is holding it in. I should have a bore scope this weekend so I am hoping that it will be easier to remove once I can see what is holding it. Thanks for your time and insight.
