Leak

Hello all,
We have a 2007 Endeavor 40SFT with full wall slide. It has been raining...alot. We have discovered water is coming inside the coach at the bottom screw of the driver side shoulder belt where it is mounted on the wall about 4 feet up. Has anyone experienced this and might be able to give us an idea of where the water may be getting in on the outside? We sealed it up on the weekend on a dry day, sealing anywhere we could think of...but it didn't help. Sealed all along the top of the awning rail as well as some other places. Window seals look good so we don't think it is getting in there. It leaked when the slide was closed, and it's leaking when it's open too. Anyone have any experience with this?

I would try using a garden hose to find the area that is leaking. That might help you isolate it to a smaller area.

Water entry is tricky. You may see it enter the interior at the shoulder belt bolt, but it may have entered the wall elsewhere and moved down the inside to a point where it can enter the interior.

I would guess you have a window ahead of that point, plus a slide behind it. These, plus the roof seams, are the usual suspects.

We had almost the same type leak. Finally discovered an extra hole had been made when installing the awning bracket on outside wall...they had misaligned it so just made a second hole but didn't seal the first one. We had to remove/repair/replace a small section of the inside paneling, seal the hole from the inside, and loosen the awning bracket enough to squeeze sealant into the outside hole. If you have window awnings you might check all those mounting screws. Been over a year for our fix and all is good.
