Leak under Aqua Hot: Holiday Rambler Endeavor 2019 38’

Hi! My parents own a 2019 holiday rambler endeavor. Today, they were planning on taking it to Florida and when they went to fill the water tank, they noticed a cracked water filter that was leaking. They replaced that and then we noticed the water pump cap was cracked and leaking. We tried to turn the pump on and bypass the system but it leaked massively. While trying that, the black tube connected to the aquahot (believe that this is the overflow valve?) that goes out the bottom of the rv started pouring green fluid. Their RV maintenance site can’t get them in for 2 weeks and I was trying to figure out what the issue could be to see if it’s an easy fix. I can share pictures if needed or explain in more detail. Thanks in advance!

That does not sound good. Sounds like a hard freeze on all the plumbing without being properly winterized. On the AquaHot in particular if not properly winterized will freeze and burst the piping inside the boiler. Then when water is turned on it forces the boiler fluid out the overflow hose. There would not be an easy fix for that. Replacement is only option.

Ahh okay. So, they had it winterized by a camping world and obviously they didn’t check to make sure it was done properly. Would they (camping world) be liable? It’s also still under warranty, I believe.

I am not sure about liability but would definitely give them a call.

Oh crap ! I don't like the sounds of this either. I could see the house filter being missed while winterizing ,if pumping pink AF with/ through the pump but the pump would be fully winterized in like 2 seconds if isolated from fresh tank properly . Or if some large winterize pumping system used city hook up ,maybe pump get missed and frozen but both pump and filter seems like not winterized at all. Was there any pink AF coming out of lines at all. Hard to prove owners didn't hook up to water after winterized after CW did winterize. They will try to claim I'm sure. I hate to say this but freezing is not covered under warranty... maybe some insurance claim due to CW negligence. I hope all works out , just reading this hurt me.
You need to document what you find maybe call insurance now to 2nd party involved witness damage.

+1. Did they see any pink plumbers antifreeze come out of the faucets on first use after CW supposedly winterized?
