thanks guys, Tech support at chelsea told me that many times when they are installed guys use a strong loc-tite and they have to be heated with a torch to get them off. I'll try penetrating oil first.

x2 on the motorcycle hand impact. It has worked well for me many, many times over the years.

Just a heads up on the farwest cast hydraulic pump, I installed it 2 years ago, and the added weight over the previous aluminum pump cracked the pto housing, I'm trying to figure out how to brace the back of the pump. Thanks for all the tips.

What did you end up doing to fix the pto? I finally got my pto back yesterday and when I installed it the bolt flange cracked. I am not sure if I over tightened it or if it was damaged in shipping. Anyway I took it to a local hydro shop, they think they can braze it back together. If that fails I will be on the hunt for a 267 PTO.

pto

Hi VWallace, sorry for your trouble. I found a new pto on ebay, It had been on a shelf since 2004. The model #was the same as yours 267xgfjp-m5ga. After calling Chelsea and talked to tech, (662-895-1077 Tom) he told me to remove the head on my existing pto that bolts to the hydraulic pump. He also gave me the part # of all the gaskets I need. Before I found the aforementioned pto, he said that if i found a new case (all 267 cases are the same) I could take the gears out of my old pto and install them in the new case. Of course, because of supply problems they didn't have any, but he gave me some suppliers. I called one and I got a price around $350. I doubt if brazing would be a permanent solution. Hope this helps.
God bless, Jake
