Levelling system control keypad

It seems to pour when it rains...just one thing after another. Welcome to the RV world!
The keypad/touchpad to the left of the driver, doesn't work in the "dump" position and, am told would need to install new keypad. All other functions on the keypad, as well as the levelling system work fine. It appears that it's just the one dump (all four positions) is not working when you hold it down. It's a "high class problem".
When storing for an extended period of time, is it best to dump the coach air so that the chassis is sitting on the stops?
As always, thanks to all. I love this forum.

What brand jacks? The HWH system is a touch system, no need to hold the button down. If it has an automatic feature it should automatically dump air prior to extending the jacks.
No need to dump air for storage, when the system slowly loses air pressure the coach will settle onto the stops inside the air bags anyway.
The HWH touchpad normally has a fuse on the backside, to protect the pad.

Depending on how much diagnostic work you have had done, there have been several on here who found the plug under the touch plate loose, and it was a matter of tightening the pins and redoing the plug. If it's HWH with air only, no hydraulic, leveling, I do not believe it drops automatically when you start to level. The work-around might be to hit the level button once, for manual leveling, then drop the coach by adjusting the level down in the front and then the back alternating back and forth a little until your satisfied that it is down where you want it. Hope this may help, Happy Trails Bert

My coach has air leveling only and in the 6 years we have had it, I have see no need to dump the air plus when you dump the compressor has to run a lot to get to ride height then travel plus the dog would go nuts

We need to know the year make and model of your coach?

I will also guess its an HWH air leveling system. If so you have been given some good advice. The wire connector on the back of our touch panel had one wire that pulled loose. I was also able to send the panel into HWH and had it tested and had the plastic cover replaced.
Unlike a lot of RV companies, HWH services what they sell and has a very quick turn around. They also have a technician that helps out us IRV2 forum members. He goes by AZ Pete. You can send him a private message using the link in the upper right corner just under "Welcome". His email is pfmaddox@att.net and his phone number is 602-549-3638.

Yes we have a HWH full air levelling system. I have talked with HWH and I can replace the whole touch pad for not a lot of money. I'll take it out and they advise I should have it all back with a new touchpad within a week or so. Love the service from HWH but, more than them, love the guys and gals on this thread! Thanks to everyone for your feedback.

Send a message via ICQ to Ivylog
I would not have one button repaired because you are not able to lower by pushing one button when you can manually lower it .

I have had a problem with the pad. While at Decatur REV (for other work), the mechanic finally looked at the pad. By holding down the power button (10 seconds?) the pad reset itself. No more problem. Did not see this in the manual. I would still check wires as noted above.

Just one quick comment on storing the coach without dumping the air. Our '06 Dynasty has an extremely low (No luck in ever finding it so we've lived with it for over thirteen years!!!) leak on the front left corner. When the air slowly bleeds down in storage, it does NOT leak down evenly on all four corners. If a coach tends to leak down at all, I would highly recommend dumping the air if it is to be stored for long periods to minimize the possibility of the chassis and body getting a twisting torque put on it as any one corner slowly sinks. NOTE, if you are on uneven ground, dumping the air could exacerbate any problem, as the coach could sink to a "twisted" position, so let sound judgement rule.
