Lithium Battery Installation

Hey Guys,
I wanted to get this info out to help someone. Im a bit exhausted for a full writeup at the moment but this is what I ended up with in my coach because the AC sub panel was not getting any power through the inverter.

This is from a 2003 Dynasty Book but it includes my model. Presumably this is what I started with except my AC sub panel would not pass through my inverter on shore or generator power. I don t know if the microwave would have worked on my old house batteries, I never tried that. I was getting a big draw on my house batteries while on shore power or generator power. So they installed that transfer sw #2 to bypass the inverter. Now the only time the inverter is used is on battery power only.

I changed out my old 2000 W trace unit for a Victron 3000 W multi II. I was able to wire it in just like my old trace unit with two legs going in and two legs coming out so it will pass through power when I am plugged in or running the generator. And it also does load sharing off the batteries if I’m only plugged into 20 or 30 A and need more power than that. I didn’t have to change anything else.

I wish I would have known, what a nightmare. Unfortunately this was an unexpected upgrade. My house batteries could not take me through the summer and I was right in the middle of testing a dc frig.
