Exclamation Lost part of 12volt system - like no furnace -help

Strange driving into cold weather I set my furnace to 60 so the main coach wouldn't be freezing.

while driving it shut off then lost my radio and few other 12volt acc.

But other 12v are working fine, I found a small 12v (looks like sub panel) in the rear bedroom next to the main 110 breaker box.

It has 9 fuses, bath lits, several other lits, cigar lit type dash receptacles, furnace, radio, slide out.

All fuses are good.

I keep driving to my destination, plugged in all went on.

first pic is that panel.
Second pic is where I think that large red wire goes to the main fuse panel drivers front, it says 50amp interior accessory.

I can't find such a fuse

Or is it not a fuse and something to do with something else since plugging in operates all.

Sounds like the salesman switch / solenoid is off. I had enough problems with mine so I bypassed the solenoid and got rid of the switch.

I have a battery on/off switch in the battery compartment, if that was off I would have no 12V anywhere I would think?

I thought the switch you are talking about is another switch I believe I don't have

Is this that salesman switch buss?

the + cable from the on/off switch goes on one side the other into someplace out of sight.

Nope, that is a high amperage fuse. The salesman switch is a switch, typically located near the entrance door along with other fuses such as interior lights, basement lights, porch, etc.
Not all motorhomes have a salesman's switch.

Thumbs up

I think I figured it out, the 12 volt that was working was the ignition or key side.

the part that was out was off the battery, that batt on/off shut off fell apart when I tried to turn it. see pic below

I figured if that one went the chassis switch would go next so I just orderd a dual bank blue sea switch, batt 1 or two or both only $34

Should be here Tuesday, I think that should fix it.

Radio should have a toggle switch somewhere that is labeled MAIN/AUX or some such.. My guess.. your isolator relay is not connecting, So as you drove the batteries (house) ran down to the point where the furnace and Radio no longer worked.. Plugging in ... brought the converter online and restored power.

The batts are charged by solar so they are fully charged, so that's not the case.

I expect with the new shut off it will work, we'll see tomorrow

I have 2 switches like this, one for the house and one for the chassis. Earlier this year as we were getting ready for a trip I tried to start the coach, no 12 volt. Checked the rotary switch and it wasn't passing power. Disconnected and bolted both terminals together and the coach started. Replaced with the same brand/model, actually bought 2 and have one for a spare in case the house one fails.

Funny, I tried to pry the old one apart and there was not way to get it apart. I just wanted to see how it worked, I now know, thanks for the picture.
