I recently had an issue that both scared and concerns us.
I’ll try and be succinct:
We set up in a site that looked pretty close to level but turned out to be low in the back.
https://photos.google.com/share/AF1Q...lyX1JhTThvN2pR We inflated/deflated the airbags several times and raised/lowered the levelers (adding blocks as needed) until the levelers were happy. I believe we may have over extended the rear airbags. See

During the re-inflation process of the airbags we heard a very loud bang, as if the airbags were being “seated”. Much like the bang of a tire bead when it seats.
Today, I videoed the airbag re-inflating after retracting the levelers. (I needed to know if the airbags were bad before we were scheduled to leave)
While the video did not “record” the loud bang, you can see the airbag SEAT at 1:43. Happily, there was no air leak!

1. 1. Do I have a problem with the airbags? The driver’s rear airbag was replaced last summer by us. The tech at that time informed us, the passenger rear airbag looked like it had been replaced by the previous owner.
2. 2. Did I over extend the airbags causing the bang during re-inflation?
3i 3. Is this bad? Suggestions?
Normally, we just pull in, park, release air, push auto on the levels, send out the slide-outs. And call it a day. For the 18 months we have owned this rig, we’ve never had an issue like this. Such as over extending the airbags to make them “bang” when re-inflated.
I have not measured, but when we release the air, the body lowers about 3-5 inches. However, I’ve never had a need to crawl under the rig before to check the airbags, so I really don’t know if we ever over extended the airbags in the past. I do know, we never heard this loud bang before.
I never checked until now, but we do have front airbags. Far as we know, we have never had an issue with the front airbags.
Just to recap: Today, we retracted the levelers, inflated airbags, deflated airbags, and manually leveled rig.
