LOUD noises from ceiling near windshield
This is a first !
While on our Florida trip had to have two new steer tires put on and, on the way home a week or so later, heard what sounded like either the sat dish bouncing on the roof or the generator bouncing out it's cradle !!!
pulled over and checked everything I could on the side of the road and nothing seemed amiss... even checked the lug nuts wondering if they left them loose
Once home and after searching found the noise was from the ceiling panel trim behind the overhead cabinets between it and the windshield... whatever it is mounted to has come loose up front by the windshield...
Started to pull trim down to see and there was just too much that has to come apart to dig in... have to wait until more time to dive in...
Anyone have any pics of what's behind that on a 2011 Monaco 43DFT Diplomat so I can have a clue of what I'm getting into?
for now, will somehow slow the bouncing.... Thanks in Advance !

I don't have pics or coach anymore, but I remember there being an incredible amount of wiring for AV, Sun shade, night shade (mine were seperate), 120vac, 12vdc, and an extremely elusive water leak that was eventually traced down to ladder at *rear* of my Diplomat. I think.
I think the support structure was a plain Jane 2x3 used multiple times.

I haven't seen much activity on this so I'll try to help. I just took the center TV cabinet out and remodeled it down to the same size as the others. (2003 Dynasty 40'.) There is an 120v metal electrical junction box on the right side wall. attached with a couple short screws. It's the only thing up there that could make any amount of noise. Hope this will help.

Thanks !
I think it's the actual ceiling panel itself that is bouncing, but haven't been out to check it closer....

I recently re-assembled that area in my '04 Camelot. Attached are the only pics I have on this phone. Mine had a left, right and a center section of plywood pieces that are screwed to the bottom of the cabinet frames and at the front they used long screws to suspend the pieces from a fiberglass lip/shelf moulded into the inside of the front cap. These rough plywood pieces provide a surface to attach the vinyl covered headliner pieces to. The rear of the headliner pieces attach directly to the bottom of the cabinet frames. Once the headliner is attached with screws, the curtain tracks and the powered sun visors then attached also with the screws going through into the same plywood pieces. A couple pictures show the plywood pieces after attaching and other pictures are after then reattaching head liner back in place.

Thanks for the pics !!!
the very front edge seems to have 'lost its grip'
and with the powered MCD shade and blind, etc...
it's gonna be a lot of cramped work to get in there - and we no longer twist like that !
