Lowering front seat
My back starts hurting while driving my coach, problems due to an old racing injury. I feel that my legs are having to collapse the seat foam a lot and making my back bow. Any recommendations?

When I took out my carpet to replace it with engineered wood floors, I took both front seats out. They are held down with 4 bolts that go through the seat base and into the coach frame.
Monaco had shimmed my passenger seat on the back 2 bolts with washers. When I replaced the seats after the floors were done, I had to re-install the washers so the seat back would clear the slide going in and out.
I wonder if you could do the same with the drivers seat. Shim the back bolts to lean the seat a little forward. That and adjusting the seat all the way down, might make a difference.

Windsor Bill has the first thing to check. I made a platform for my feet which worked well but I didn’t like having it there all the time so I removed the seat, ground the welds off, shortened the square tubing assembly and welded it together. It made a big difference.

Hypoxa,
How much did you take off? I was thinking 2 inches.

1.25" was all I could take due to interference of the bolt heads. I have an air ride module on the driver & pax seats which add several inches of seat height. That is why I needed to lower the seat.

2008 Endeavor here. I too have given serious thought to having my pedestal cut down. I would think any welding shop could do it easily.
I have pedal extensions on my pedals and they pedals adjust as well. For my left foot I cut a 4x4 with a slant face and added carpet. My left foot can then rest against it or on top of it.

When my coach was new, I couldn’t get the seat low enough for my feet to rest flat on the floor. I called Villa and they knew exactly what I was talking about. Monaco was using two different size pedestals.
Villa shipped me two, no charge, back in 2007.
So, check with Villa or Flexsteel , depending on your seat manufacturer, to see if they have a shorter pedestal for your seat.

Like Harry, our pedestals were to high when we bought the coach and Monaco installed the shorter pedestals. Still hanging on to the taller ones in case may legs grow.
