Mac Valve Adjustment

I got my step well cover to go in out by adjusting the two small screws on the side of the mac valve.
The problem I am now having is there is air leaking from the exhaust port of the mac valve after the step is either out or in.
If I tighten down on the screws to make the air stop leaking out the exhaust port the cover goes back to opening and closing painfully slow and with a jerking motion.
What am I doing wrong and what should I do next?
Thank You.

It should not leak out of the exhaust port after the travel has been reached unless the ram is leaking. There is likely an obstruction in the valve. Dump air and flush with silicone lube or WD40. If that does not do it you will have to remove cover and flush. If that fails new ram or valve time.

Try removing the inlet air line and spray silicon into the inlet and work the valve a few times , if that don't work Replace the Mac valve, if it is like the one on our coach it not shade tree rebuildable . The part no of our Mac valve is 45A-AA2-DDCA-1BA

MAC valve

Mine did the exact same thing. Great I for from the other folks above. I purchased a new one and the leaking stopped. You need to be very very careful adjusting the new one if you go that route it doesn't come pre adjusted. It might slam shut and tear out the mounting hardware. If you need the part number of the new one let me know. It was somewhat difficult to get, the company had to back order it.

Thanks

Checkout my new thread on 99 Windsor ladders, I need a part number off the bottom step.
