Maiden voyage in the "cold."

Well, this week is our maiden voyage in the cold, or cool to some of you. It's been in the low 50s during the day and mid to low 30s at night and this old tank has done great, much better than the 2010 travel trailer we had before. This coach is insulated much better and even though we have two furnaces we've only had to use the main one. Propane hasn't been an issue, either. The gauge has barely moved after 2 nights, with the TT we had to use electric space heaters to save propane and help keep the noisy furnace off as much as possible. The furnace in here is nice and quiet.

The plumbing config is nice as well, they designed it so that running the furnace keeps the pipes from freezing, the only tanks exposed are the waste tanks and we just leave them empty.

They just don't build these like they used to. 1989? Works better than the 2010 TT.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Our maiden voyage saw us camping at the Aces High Campground in East Lyme, CT. That night we had something like 2 feet of snow. To my recollection, we were snug as bugs but the furnace did run quite a bit.

Now on he other hand, we camped in Brooksville, FL and had to have an LP truck come out and re-fill our tank because the heater ran all day long.

Happy Thanksgiving!
