Hello Everyone, We just had the MCD Duo Day Night Shades installed with the new Flat Screen LCD 32" TV. The night shade closes right behind the TV and prevents air from circulating. The TV kept going out today because the temp was about 86 degrees and coming in through the Front Window it was a lot hotter than that. The wife seen a little blip come up in the right lower corner of the TV saying Temperture. I moved the screen from the back and put a fan there to blow air behine the TV and it is ok now. My question is has anyone else had this problem with their conversions or on the newer coaches with the screens installed? If so, what did you do to stop the heat from building up back there? I'm thinking of purchasing a couple of small 110 volt fans to putinside the TV cabinet. This is in a 06 HR Endeavor.

LCD TVs generate lots of heat. You need to have good air flow and circulation around the set. If it is in a cabinet, the cabinet needs to have a vent and possibly fans to move the air. You need air intake to the area as well as exhaust of the warm air. Not doing this will shorten the life of your RV. Look on the back of your TV cabinet and see if there is a vent. Possibly the new shades are blocking it.
Who did the cabinets and LCD conversion? You might provide this feedback to them so they don't keep putting their MCD Shades right next to the rear TV cabinet vent. From your issue it sounds like the shade installation is blocking the normal convection cooling flow. Good thing your TV has Overtemp protection I'd hate to hear what might have happened without this safeguard in place.
