MCD shades help!!!

I am trying to adjust the cockpit MDC electric shades. These shades are controlled by a 6 switch Multiplex panel (not remote control). I have "All up" "All Down" and than a few like "Door" than one push will take it down and the next push will take it up.

Called MCD and got "Sorry don't know how to adjust these, Can help you with rocker switch or remote control systems, call Monaco" (really??? You manufacture these...)

Called Monaco and was told to use the "All up" and "All down" and a "rocker switch", put one shade into programing by shortening the learning wires and ignore all other shades while doing to programing.

I tried this method but it is not working right. The shade should beep and than go down until I leave the switch, however, it goes down about 6" and stops, from there on I can only "bump" it down 1/8" (like fine tune). Even doing this will not "lock" the down limit.

Any help??

Not sure if it will help you, but this is the way to set up and down limits on mine by RollerTrol RollerTrol? 12v DC Tubular Motor Instructions They are the ones that are not wireless controlled. Good luck.

Thanks Unplanned. The process I need help with relates to using the multiplex buttons since I don't have up/down buttons for each of the shades.

MCD made the shades but Monaco did the wiring and provided the switches. Why would MCD know how it was wired?

Mine are also multiplex and here is how I set the MCD. Hold the learn button on the shade and have someone hold the multiplex down button. The shade should beep and start down, continue holding both buttons until the shade stops and beeps, then release multiplex first then the learn button. Then hold the multiplex down button until shade gets close to where you want it. You can then bump it down to where you want it. Reverse to up and again release up multiplex button when shade gets close to up. Bump it up to where you want it and then reverse to down which will take it out of programming mode. Ignore what the other shades do.
If yours don't have a learn button you can short the learn wires, but you have to hold each until the shade stops and beeps several times, then release multiplex button first.

Got it solved. used this set of instructions but used the "all up" and "all down" to program each shade. You should not keep the program switch on all the time.
