Got mine installed today. Removed standard unit. Had to open up hole for new vent by 1/4" on sides and 1 7/8" on sides. Looks and works very well. Now I have 3 of the old style on the shelf. I bought 2 spares because flapper was always breaking.

I ordered my black one today, I can't wait till I get to the day I get to cut thru my wall on my 2015 dutch star. I know it will work good, I can't have that smoke detector go off when she cooks.

Been installing mine the last 2 days. After getting microwave on the floor there was 9 inches from the mount to outside wall. Had to make a wall to hold the new duct work . After cutting through the inside wall with a dremmel ,I found a aluminum stud. I decided to keep going on with project and made a 2 inch offset to miss the stud. Worked out good so I finished putting duct work aluminum tape to seal it up...Works good and its quiet.

I was testing amp draw on a new surge protector I just installed so I turned on EVERYTHING including the convection part of the oven. I never used it before this test and I was surprised at the amount of heat blowing back into the coach from the convection oven vent. Will this mod direct that heat to the outside?
It was 114 degrees out when I was doing this test and the 2 HVAC's were struggling anyway. The added heat from the convection oven was actually making it warmer inside the coach.

Yes it will, that's why we added it to ours too. Well that and the ability to suck out cooking smells as well.

I sold that coach about 3 years ago, but the last I heard from the new owner, the wall has not fell off yet --
The way the walls are built, cutting a stud won`t hurt a darn thing -

I installed an outside vent in my coach, about 7 years ago and consider it one of the very best modifications I have done to my coach!
It should have been by the factory!
